Moonlight Faerie Dance Charm Clip Giveaway

When Eliora and I began to discuss Witches in Fiction 2014… Crafting Blooming Howls, she decided to create a clip inspired by the cover of my upcoming short story collection (more on that soon). One night, she “had the ‘Blooming Howls’ charm clip components all laid out in a project tray… [in order to] assemble the piece” in the morning; preferable at seven or eight…

So the next day, Eliora, friend and witchy creatrix, woke up at four in the morning and created this Moonlight Faerie Dance Charm Clip for the tenth Crafting Blooming Howls giveaway:
This is nothing like what she had planned, but perfect for the party… and for this moment in my life. If you are really good friends with the artistic voice within (and know me a bit), then you understand exactly why: 1) The Muse won’t be denied, and 2) as The Four-Fold Way: Walking the Paths of the Warrior, Teacher, Healer and Visionary suggests, “Dancing, singing, storytelling and silence are the four universal healing salves.”

I sing, I tell stories and I cherish my special moments of silence, but I haven’t been able to dance much these days… So my dear Lori—who sees me better than most—knew that my spirit needed to gaze upon the bliss of a Moonlight Faerie Dance.

From Eliora: the “Moonlight Faerie Dance Charm Clip for purse, jeans, camisole strap, rear-view mirror… holds a Tibetan Silver medallion depicting a lovely Faerie enraptured in the embrace of a crescent Moon. They dance through Tibetan Silver stars and baubles of midnight blue, iridescent Czech crystals and clear Aurora Borealis. More Tibetan Silver Moon charms are joined by the cool luminescence of Rainbow Moonstone and the shimmer of a million stars in a bit of wire-wrapped Blue Goldstone. The piece measures just about 5 inches in length.”

  2. Well I am glad I am not in Canada, I am bad at math!

I love Eliora's altar box! So lovely!

You know that I am a faery changeling and I am very inspired by faeries to find magic in life. I sometimes like to dance to take my mind of things. Moonlight is nice too, but I am pretty sure that moon is up to something! Two blood moons in one year! I am suspicious!

  5. This is utterly GORGEOUS!!!!! Eliora is gifted, and this seems that it would entice my muse back to dance with me, she is being a bit of an A-Hole of late ;) Moon & fairies need to inspire me with some head banging to AC/DC as I am feeling soppy and nostalgic at the moment, swaying to Bread, singing Air Supply & dancing to show tunes like I am back at an 80's Oxford St piano bar, lordy I'm in need of the Moonlight Faerie ... Mother Heart and Triquetra Pendant Necklace - with birthstone is loved & hearted :) & how sweet is this https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/175690720/charm-clip-my-pagan-heart-golden-hearts?ref=shop_home_active_4&ga_search_query=mother ok, I better go... I'm hearing a show tune, & gotta dance :)

Thank you so very much <3

    2. It seems you are both playing my songs! I wonder if our Muses are exchanging secrets...

  6. What a beautiful piece! Eliora's charm clips are all very pretty, and I especially like "My Pagan Heart" - but this Moon charm is just wonderful.

What I think about regarding moon, dancing and fairies is Beltane/Walpurgis/Valborg. Great bonfires on the fields outside of every town, unwed women and men dancing in a frenzy, finding a mate (if just for the night). I think about magic, even if I don't believe in it :)

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Thank you :)

LOL! Perhaps my Muse is a bit backwards. Since Beltane is near in the Southern Hemisphere - perhaps she is suggesting I move South ?

    2. You had me at "frenzy," Ms Misantropia.

  7. The moon, dancing and fairies all make me feel settled. Odd, I know. It feels wild and free with any of them, but at the same time it feels like it is filling a hole in my "spirit." Perhaps complete is a better word? No, I think settled is correct. After I "come down" I always feel more settled, content and ready to take on the world. And if I've got the moon, dancing or fairies at the same time as my precious daughter? Well then, life is quite literally perfect and I couldn't ask for more.

  8. Dancing, the moon and faeries? Don't know what they'd do to me at the moment, but they might just save the boss from a nasty accident. Why, officer, I have no idea how he could be run over with his own car 13 times after falling off the stairs with three knives in his back. (Someone cuddle me, please?)

  9. Wow! What a gorgeous piece. The moon awakens pieces of me that I didn't know we're sleeping. It make my blood sing songs from before I was born and imagine new ones. Even if my feet don't dance, when the moonlight touches my skin, my spirit dances with the spirits of everyone else who is dancing inside while looking up at La Luna. My mothers home is decorated with fairies everywhere, so the first thing fairies bring to mind for me is my mother and my favorite story she read to me when I was little, The Water Babies.
Magaly, how can you honestly expect people to pick just one of Elioras creations? So many beautiful things! I love the Hecate Lush Bracelet and the peacock ear cuff. The Yemaya Athame would really make me smile, though. Lovely, just lovely. I liked her on Facebook and intend to put a dent in my bank account as soon as I figure out how to get a shipping address here.

  10. The Moon, dancing and Faeries ... I am a Daughter of the Moon Faerie Witch who loves to dance. The Moon helps to replenish, Faerie grounds me and keeps me connected to earth, and dancing celebrates life and everything in it.

I shared on FB and Twitter. And I LOVE Eliora everywhere!! My favorite in her Etsy sop is difficult to determine, but I do like very much the Witchy elegance wand.

  11. Dancing, moon, & fairies? When I think 'fairies' I don't think 'Tinkerbell'. I think 'Fae'. So, Moon & Fae calm the spirit, but say 'attention! be aware'. As fir dancing, depends on if you're thinking 'club'/family time or forest/ring. I like Eliora on FB under Jonquil Alexia. My favorite item is the Witch's Amulet of Amber, Jet and Hawthorn Thorn. I shared on FB. jonquilsgrdn@gmail.com

  12. Dancing is so fun and relaxing, and such great exercise. I am missing it presently due to health issues, but as soon as possible I will be getting my groove back on :) The moon has always fascinated me. Not sure if its because it's so mysterious or if I am just called to it. 15 years ago, while nursing my baby girl at night, I could look at the moon out the window of the nursery and it was always a special time for me. As the baby and I were the only ones awake in the house, I felt as if the moon was watching over us and protecting us. Faeries? faeries always make me smile :) what more is there to say? my email is dragonflight_blessings@yahoo.com, I follow on twitter and facebook, and I shared on facebook and twitter. My favorite items are the finger labyrinths! I really want one! someday maybe I will be able to afford to get me one.

    2. Dear Lycinda (love your name, by the way) I'm not dancing much either, and for the same reasons. But we can always dance in our hearts, right? And when things get better, we shall shake it, shake it, shake it... and yes, there will probably be faeries watching.
