Magical Working Oil Set Giveaway

I’ve been using a ginger and orange essential oil combination for a very long time. My lavender oil is always at sniffing distance. I love the energy boost I get from the first, and the calming effects evoked by the second. Yep, I am an essential oil junkie. So I was thrilled—ask Sharon, she’ll tell you—when Touch of the Goddess offered a Magical Working Oil Set for the second Witches in Fiction 2014… Crafting Blooming Howls (countdown to the big event) giveaway.
From the Artistic Healer: “Whether you are anointing candles or tools, taking a ritual bath, or setting up protected space, this set has all the oils you need in one place:

Sanctuary for protection and banishment of negativity; Earth, Air, Fire, and Water are for working with those respective elements and the Elementals; Solaris and Luna give you help in working with these Celestial bodies and their associated Gods and Goddesses; Prosperity will help bring in abundance in many areas; and Entice encourages and persuades.

Indulge your workings with real essential oils. Frankincense, jasmine and cinnamon are just a few of the scents and magical essences that form this collection. Never again will you have to search for just the right oil—they are all right here, in nine 5-ml cobalt blue bottles packaged in a pretty turquoise box.”
This is what you need to do to enter the Magical Working Oil giveaway,
sponsored by Touch of the Goddess:

Mandatory Entry:
1. Leave a comment telling me if you use (or wish you could use) essential oils. If so, what is your favorite scent?

For extra entries (one entry each):
  2. Share this post on Facebook.
   3. Share this post on Twitter.
   4. Like Touch of the Goddess on Facebook.
   5. Visit the Touch of the Goddess Etsy shop and/or website, then come back to tell me about your favorite item. (I’m quite taken by certain Muse of Dark Passion, just so you know ;-)

You can find most of Sharon’s works (essential oils, ritual tools, arts) at her Etsy shop, but I encourage you to visit her website, since there are certain oils that are not available from Etsy.

Rules, details and stuff
* I need to be able to contact the winner, so please add your email to your comment. Don’t want to share this info publicly? Email it to me: magalyguerrero(at)live(dot)com.
* You can group all your entries in a single comment. Or not. The choice is yours.
* To my Canadian winners, before you can claim your prize, I must test your mathematical yumminess by asking you a very obscure question, like… what’s 13 + 0.5. Yeah, obscure…
* This giveaway closes on October 20th, 2014, at 10:13 pm, EDT. The winner will be chosen using Random.Org, and announced on October 21st, 2014.
* Open to the United States only, excluding any place where prohibited by law.

  1. Hello :)

Obviously I'm not entering the giveaway, because I live in Wales. But essential oils are absolutely gorgeous, and the lucky winner is in for a treat!

Amber and I use lavendar oil in our bedrooms, it's calming and helps us sleep. And I know they're not meant to be worn as scent, but, I wear the oils on my wrists too. An Earl Grey scented one keeps me feeling uplifted throughout the day, and a Devon Violet oil, which I wear in the evenings.

Best of luck to all, have a lovely day Magaly :)

  6. I use essential oils as well and can't believe how helpful they are in every day life. My favorite essential oil, by itself, has to be frankincense. I just love the smell, it reminds me of an old library.
I liked on facebook and my favorite item in your shop has to be Luna Magical Oil for working with the energies of the Moon, even though I haven't worked with it yet, it sounds like it smells delicious.

  10. Whoops! I thought I had commented. Damn! Oh well. Anyway, yes, we use essential oils all the time here! My favorite is a lavender chamomile blend that I spray over my son's crib each night -- it seems to help him sleep better. :)

  13. I definitely liked the Facebook page, and from the website, I think I'd have to jump on that migraine oil. I get migraines and headaches frequently, and hate taking medications for them- even just ibuprofen. Having an essential oil to use instead (especially when I have to be at work) would be amazing.

I do not currently use oils for any therapeutic or ritual work, other than for scenting myself depending on my mood for the day. My currently favorite is a dragon's blood oil I have. I do have to say that honeysuckle wins out big-time among my coworkers (at the library). They love when I wear the honeysuckle.

    2. It's a very woody, earthy scent and melds well with lemongrass, rosewood, patchouli (one of the few ways I can actually stand patchouli) and even jasmine. It gives an excellent deep base note to a lot of lighter scents, and adds extra dimension to other base notes. :)

  16. Eucalyptus. Cedar. Vanilla. Peppermint. ... I'm something of an essential oil fan.

But the wands on Touch of the Goddess's etsy shop caught my eye. I'm intrigued by the Friday the 13th Sagittarius Full Moon Ash Wand - of course, that's partially because Friday the 13th is a lucky day for me, but it's also beautifully rendered. That Flame Magic Wand is beautiful, too, and I think my son would love that.

I did go 'like' Touch of the Goddess on FB (and favorited on etsy, because there's so much awesome).

I am the kind that sticks to vanilaas so I don't offend other people who share my space. There was an Indian Shortbread scent I loved and could not find again.
But when I am able to visit some of my favorite scent peddlers, there are other spicier aromas that attract me.

At the moment, Sweet Orange is what I like to dab on the collar of my shirts/jackets. I love to add a few drops of grapefruit to the vinegar solution I clean with. I use clove oil for any tooth/gum aches and pains.

I think that Sharon's Entice oil sounds like a lovely addition for love spells. ^_^
