French Quarter Voodoo Handmade Soap and The Conjured Kiss Lip Balm Giveaway

“A black cat’s tooth and a crow’s foot
A knot to bind and some chimney soot
A pepper, a bone, and some red brick dust
Upon her tomb, scratch 3 X’s you must
To hail the French Quarter Voodoo Queen
Who’s spirit still walks in New Orleans”

Don’t you just love the fun Shawnee, the owner of Alchemy & Ashes, puts into her work? Well, I sure do. I love it almost as much as I adore the scents of her soaps and what they do to my skin. The seventh Witches in Fiction 2014… Crafting Blooming Howls (countdown to the big event) giveaway brings you soothing magic in the shape of French Quarter Voodoo 19th Century Black Lager Cold Process Soap and The Conjured Kiss Almond Lip Balm.
Most of the ingredients in this soap make me sigh and breathe extra deeply: patchouli, lemon myrtle, anise, palmarosa, cinnamon, cassia… Are you rushing to start a shower yet? If you can summon these scents, then the water is probably already running.

This is what you need to do for a chance to win a bar of Alchemy & Ashes’ French Quarter Voodoo Soap and a tube of The Conjured Kiss Almond Lip Alchemy:

  5. Not sure where my first comment went so here goes... My favorite food ingredients are vanilla and honey ... I'm careful to use local honey as it is an amazing item to ward off my pollen allergies. My favorite Alchemy & Ashes scent is Cleopatra's Charm ... I love this body scrub soooo much ... I'm also trying to have her create a vanilla, honey and camomile line for sleep ;). I already like Alchemy & Ashes on FB ... Thank you tabatha272@gmail.com

    5. There are about a dozen things I could choose in their shop between the two of us, but Mutiny is the one we both agree on wholeheartedly. :D

Typed whilst listening to the hysterical giggling of the Wyrmling, as she and daddy Dragon are having a tickle fight on the floor next to me. The shrill, joyful noises are interrupted only by a moment to breathe, during which the Wyrmling cries out, "Stop! So I can destroy you!" Followed shortly by more shrill, joyful war cries as she enthusiastically assaults daddy Dragon, only to be thwarted every time... and then climbs on his head.

  19. There are so many yummy things out there that it is really hard to choose just one. But lately it's been Coconut. I love it in my food (I use the oil to grease my brownie pan), I love Coconut milk and cream in my coffee (or plain) and while I've made my own coconut oil based body oil, a lot of the time I just use straight coconut oil as a lotion. I walk around smelling like cake!

  36. My favorite ingredient in food, drink or soap would have to be lavender. Lavender ice cream... white chocolate and lavender latte... lavender soap... Mmmmm.... ahhhhh...

I also could name rose and violet in the place of lavender... I love rose ice cream, violet candies, rose in my coffee, Creme de Violette is my favorite alcohol and both are gorgeous as soaps. =D

I seem to have difficulty ever picking just one thing... ^__~

As for an item from Alchemy & Ashes that caught my attention... that would be the fragrances. I looooove essential oils, perfumes, scents... they have the magic I need to change my mood, enhance my calm, get things done... yes. I love wearable scents. =D

And I'm going to go buy her 9 piece fragrance sampler now. ^____^
