Witches in Fiction 2014… Crafting Blooming Howls

Witches in Fiction is not a blog party about witches or for Witches, but a come-and-have-a-blast event where likeminded people celebrate stories, poetry, crafts, painting, sculptures, brewing, myths… art and life in a world with witches and magic in it (keep reading details below).

The Blooming Sponsors

This is Witches in Fiction’s 4th year. The first party was for Witchy Tales, the second took our muses to Sexy, Dark and Bloody realms, on the third year we celebrated to the Bone, and we shall spent the 17th of October of 2014 Crafting Blooming Howls.

What does this mean exactly? Well, my Wicked Luvs, on October 17th we will discuss, share and delight in those Halloween projects we have always wanted to enjoy, but have never before got around to developing.

The limits are set by your imagination (and we all know the lady in question has no limitations or self-control to speak of). Here are some rather random examples:
          - a short fiction piece you began to write years ago, but never finished
          - a poem that has been flying around your mind, but is yet to land on paper
          - finish that painting that calls for mischievous witches, bats and candy corn
          - put lyrics to that Halloween(y) tune that has been dancing in your head
          - bake that pumpkin cheesecake you’ve been thinking about for years
In other words, let all the fun and the magic and the promise of Halloween take shape, and publish a post where you show us exactly what that shape looks like.

I dislike rules, but we’re social creatures… So here is the law (muahahaha *cough*):
- Leave a comment telling me why you’re joining Crafting Blooming Howls; include a link to your blog, and I’ll add your name to the Howling Partiers list (see above).
- Your entry must have a witch or magic in it. If you happen to be a Witch, well, then tell us a bit about your All Hallow’s Eve, Halloween, Samhain… in your post. I love it when having fun includes learning about other people.
- Join the party before the end of October 15th.
- Publish your party entry by Midnight, October 17th, 2014, EDT. I will provide a place for you to add your direct links, which will serve as archive.
* This last bit is not a rule, but it would be nice if you grabbed the party button and blogged about this entry. The more the merrier, you know?

That’s it, my Luvs. The rest is all about dancing our way, with a huge grin, towards the Witches’ New Year. Questions? Ask them here. Suggestions? Make them here. Want to squeal a bit? Go for it. I’ll will see your squeal and raise you a hip wiggle. If you change your mind after joining, please send me an email as soon as you can, and I’ll remove you from the list. I will publish sample posts and reminders, so keep your eyes open. And yes, there will be giveaways. Party!!!

  1. I may have just squealed a little bit(ok a lot); don't know what I'm doing yet but I'm definitely joining again this year. Now as to why, I'd have to say because it's always fun and I like to challenge myself from time to time.

I look forward to seeing what everyone comes up with. Oh and here's my link - http://witchcamefirst.blogspot.com/

Aw, yeah, I need to properly close-out the wordpress.org site, don't I? I've been busy with being active this summer, so the blogging world's been quiet. Now that the season's are changing, this will change a bit, too. I just can't give up the walk/run regime -- I'm finally feeling good consistently and enjoying that, lol. And, the dog won't let me give up -- such guilt from silent brown eyes when I try and excuse not walking. *Grin*

I couldn't sleep too many aches and pains and my brain being bored decided on the bright idea of changing my blog address to more match my blog title. It's proof that early mornings and bright ideas don't always go together. I lost all my links and it's taken an age to find them again and re put them on. Lets just say I won't be copying the idea on my other blog. I have put a post up with explanation on my blog but thinking about I bet it won't show up in any of my followers feeds now, ho hum.
