Mixt Messages Madness from Within

Mama Zen, at Imaginary Garden with Real Toads, invited word-weavers to confess something in 65 words or fewer. I have two for you:

A Poem: “Mixt Attitudes towards Disabled Veterans”
Scream,
I’ll know you need me;
Scream,
I’ll know youre weak.

Drives me mad.

A Fact: Tastefully Offensive funnies make me snort my coffee.

Anything to confess, my Luvs?

    1. I think most of us have met "this person." And it's never funny while they are ruining someone's life. *grimace.*

  2. That first one is amazing, unfair ... are you confessing doing it or the madness? Madness!

    1. Amazing and unfair is totally correct.

I'm definitely confession to it driving me insane. I don't get people/groups who are always talking about patriotism and support the troops and "thank you for your service," but when the disabled veteran needs help, they start to complain about it. I think I've been reading too many articles about people saying that veterans (injured and not) have it too easy. These people must be living in an alternate universe or something...

Maybe I'm confessing to an extreme urge to beat these people senseless. *cough*

    2. By the way, I had to go back and put together a really quick poem. I forgot the first time around, lol!

  3. Yeah, it's always the people who scream "support the troops" the loudest who want to cut benefits and services. Drives me crazy, too.

  5. Good points given in brevity...well done!

If I hadn't read your title though I might have seen this from a sensual point of view...confessions from the bedroom. Sorry, I had to say it to see if it's just me seeing it in this light. ;)

  6. Yes, I can't stand the flag wavers who end up first in line to cut veteran benefits. I have snorted coffee at the tastefully offensive too...lol

    1. Flag wavers can be quite annoying. Maybe they should start drinking coffee... or something.

  7. there once was a song called "Over There", about the troops. That's where it seems "those" people want them - over there... but not back here ~

  8. I think we owe a debt to our disabled veterans that we can never repay...but we should never stop trying. So ironic and disappointing that some think they get too much already.

  9. Ir is the WW2, Korean Vets that are suffering the most in Canada (We don't have Viet Nam Vets) - at least the Afghanistan Vets know how to work the system and can get their message out. It is still horrid.

    1. Different generations of Vets have to deal with different issues, both mentally and psychological. But you are right, our old timers have it quite tough these days: a friend of mine (Vietnam Vet) once tole me, "I wonder if they (the gov) would help me faster if I had lost my leg in a pretty war." I just sat there, saying nothing, wishing I didn't understand what he meant.
