A Viking Birthday Lament and a Night with Deathly Hollows

A perfect birthday is one spent doing exactly what you want… even if you (and by “you” I mean “me”) didn’t quite know that what you ended up doing is what you wanted. In 37-Years Wicked, I told you that I “planned all kinds of decadence for… Me, Myself and I.”
I didn’t go for a walk in the woods because I was sleepy, so I took a three hour nap. Then I felt too lazy to go to the fish market for fresh tilapia… I ended up making cheesy veggies with sausage and shrimp. After that, my Boy called me and lovingly suggested that I would spent the anniversary of my birth by myself when his dead. And because he’s alive and grinning, he showed up with a bag full of guavas and grapefruits and a box full of cake.
We watched Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince… while I fed on guavas.

My Piano Man got home a couple of hours later. We each downed one shot of Johnnie Walker Red Label and poured one for my baby brother because it was his favorite scotch. Then we finished watching Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows I and II.

And just so you know, I’ve read every single birthday wish (on Facebook, email, text, snail mail, carrier pigeon…) and I plan to reply while listening to Terry Pratchett’s Raising Steam… because a perfect after-my-birthday-afternoon must include a delicious book. Last, but never least, I had to include the birthday song my beloved Eliora posted on my wall. I can’t get it out of my head and I love that I can’t. It’s beyond perfect for me… and for Vikings *cough*.
