Think of a Last Name…

Rereading AlmaMia Cienfuegos and what I’ve written of Wishing upon Earth and Bone, I noticed that the last name of Matías—AlmaMia’s father’s best friend—is yet to appear in any of the writing.

I tried to recall his last name, but nothing came to mind. So I did the next best thing. I went and checked Matías’ character profile. On the spot where his family name should’ve been, I found an old note that says: “Think of a last name…”

This is really exiting. You see, Matías was a surprise character. I remember plotting the scene where “AlmaMia… shaved her fourteen-year-old sister’s left eyebrow.” But there was no male character in my outline. Then, while I was developing the plotted notes, Matías showed up on.

Now I’m wondering about Matías’… Where did this man come from? The possibilities

I love surprises that leave me in a good thinking mood. ;-)

  2. Oh I've got Spidey tingles from the thought of the possibilities. You really know how to get my imagination churning. Matias has always been a thought producing character and now you're fleshing him out more......yay. Oma Linda
