Spices Playing Cards, Visions of Sugar Plums and a Skully Smile Giveaway

The last Friday 13th in 2013 deserves a little celebration, so a giveaway is in order.

When I visited Salem, in the summer, I got a The Famous Spices Playing Cards deck and a copy of Janet Evanovich’s Visions of Sugar Plums: A Stephanie Plum Holiday Novel. I was saving them for a special occasion, and I think this is it. A little Stephanie Plum holiday fun (she’s hilarious!) and playing cards with fun spicy facts:

I can’t enter my own giveaway (how unfair), but I’m not too mad. I’ve received all kinds of wonderful goodies these last few days!

SunshineShelle sent me the original art for the covers of AlmaMia Cienfuegos and Other Stories and Wishing upon Earth and Bone. You already know what the covers look like, but did you know that she painted them on wood? Not just any kind of wood, but two recycled wooden trays. Aren’t they perfect? Thanks so much, Shelle!

Then my beloved Eliora blessed the Little Princess and me with a wee box full of charms. Wait until you see what I will make with them! By the way, if you haven’t visited Eliora’s Aisle 13, you should fly over there as soon as you get a chance. It is full of affordable crafty yumminess: candles, bottles, chalices, incense… Lori, you are the best. Gracias!

When I thought things couldn’t get any better, dear Stacy from MagicLoveCrow sent me a frog and a smile. This warmed my heart in all kinds of ways. I love frogs, I love Stacy and I love smiling. So, yes, it’s yumminess times 3. Thanks a bunch, my sweet crow goddess!

My new smiley frog inspired me to add a wee skully grin to the giveaway. I think it would make a cute bookmark. And it’s perfect for Friday the 13th, methinks.

To enter this giveaway, just leave a comment saying why you follow/read Magaly Guerrero’s Pagan Culture. By the way, did you notice the name change? *cough, cough*

This giveaway ends December 18, 2013 at 5:13 pm EST. A winner will be chosen, using Random.Org, on December 19th. I will add the name of the winner to the bottom of this post, and contact him or her via email. Happy Friday the 13th, my Wicked Darling Luvs!

Edited 12/19/13 to add the winner
And the winner is… Rhissanna!

  5. Oh Magaly, I follow you because your blog always offers us readers little explosions in word, thought and emotion, and you don't censor yourself.

    1. Every time we censor ourselves--unless we're talking about being rude in front of children--we kill life a little. Our brain deserves the right to be seen and heard without masks, methinks. The words and images might be terrifying every now and again, but in the end things balance each other out.

Just in case you want to know why I follow you, it's because you are one of the bravest people I know.

  12. What beautiful goodies! Magaly I follow your blog because every post feels like sitting at a table with a cup of tea, shot of dark rum, or glass of Bordeaux with a sister. You write things that push me to think more creatively and open my mind to all possibilities. You and your circle of Wicked Darlings feel like family, even though I am not always present in comments, all are still like family. I read your fiction because it is delicious and turns the key to the locked cage where my own yummy darkness resides. If I ever have a child, I'm pretty sure her name will be Almamia. :-)

  20. Why do I follow? Well, I stumbled through in a drunken haze looking for Mangoes and Spiced Rum. And then your clone-bot-virus auto-forced a button on to my blog. I thought locking out my bank accounts was a tad much, Magaly. But are we being honest? Ok, I can try that. I follow your blog because Rhissanna suggested having a look when I first started blogging. She said you're a wonderful blogger and writer and are always helpful to new bloggers, always polite to your readers, and write wonderful things. When I found out all these things were true, I started following. That is my answer *curtsy*

BTW, girl you got some cool stuff here, pressies & reasons to follow blog, soaking in the lovefest x
