Pretty in Pink and Pretty Naked… in New York

Yesterday, I spent most of the day at Central Park with my Piano Man, the Little Princess and a couple of relatives. Fun times…

As we rode the subway home, the Little Princess read India: The Moonstone Fairy, my Piano Man browsed PCWord and I listened to Artemis Fowl: The Last Guardian while still digesting New York City’s sites, scents and people… They were yummy ;-D

I’ve compiled a summarized photo-trip just for you. Ready? Fly on, my Wicked Luvs:

A group of ladies enjoying a gondola ride under the blazing sun

A bird nesting (noisily)… a few blocks away from a skyscraper

Tribal Baroque getting ready to prayform

Oh, I almost forgot about Mr. Khaki pants… rowing backwards
(look at the ripples in front of the flat side of the boat)

The Witch, the Little Princess, and a girl with a cute red and black bag

The Witch, her Piano Man, the Little Princess and an angel determined to jump over our heads

A pop-bellied cherub… I wonder if she’s related to the jumper angel above
The Little Princess and my Piano Man searching for rats…
…don’t worry, New York City Transit Division has rondenticided the area

The Little Princess and my Piano Man immersed in fairies and computers, respectively

Yes, I am the flash in his eye, um... sunglasses ;-) My goodness, that angel is such a tease. Jump already!

    1. You are telling me that there are sane people in the world who don't read Artemis Fowl? What's wrong with them!

  2. It is so wonderful how people who move in a unit of love can do the same activity, or different activity, but they are always doing it - together!

    2. Any time! However, we've been a bit soggy today, lol. I need to figure out how to add the videos to FB -- I've got a few sound clips of the cicadas and Andrea that are cool.

  6. Looks like the three of you had a blast! Amazing how what those who live in such an interesting city consider mundane can still be the best part of living there. ~Dragon

    1. I think we stop living (some without knowing it) when we start thinking about anything in creation as mundane. I think it's the reason why Witches have more fun and cackle so much ;-D

  12. The Little Princess is growing tall! BTW, what does she think of the book, with the same name?

    1. You don't know the half of it. Tall, lanky and brainy seems to be the name of the game ;-) And if a book has fairies, princesses, planets, frogs, plants... okay, a lot of stuff, she loves it from cover to cover!

I have to tell you about the street musicians in your photo. They are called Tribal Baroque and are super fabulous. They just moved to NYC and you guys are lucky to have them, alas I am on the west coast where they just left from. They generally play in that same spot 5 days a week. Please, go enjoy their music and "prayformances."

    1. Thank you for pointing it out! I edited to the post to add their link. I just spent a few minutes (okay, about half an hour) listening to their music. His voice goes right to the bone, and hers... oh my, it's like a caress. You know what? I will invite a few of my friends to go with me and enjoy them for a while. Maybe ask them a question or two...

You are right, we have them and we should enjoy them. Miracles (especially almost free ones) don't last forever. Thanks again, you rock!

    1. New York and I are like a couple that has been married for many decades: I will always love this city, some of its characteristics I hate, but at the end of the day I care and still love her. The city parks are a few of the reasons why...

That angel hasn't jumped? My goodness!
