If Your Hands Can’t Handle the Job, Add a Little Tongue

Remember way back in February, when I said that it would be a good idea to Do It Unto Others… With Your Hands? Well, it seems hand jobs aren’t as easy to give as I imagined. I was going at it for months and nothing was coming out. I wanted to make glorious and pretty things, but let’s face it, not everyone has Eliora’s crafting skills.

I came to the point of nearly giving up…

…then one of the little frisky voices in my head said, “Witch, use your own gift.” I gave the voice a mental, huh? The voice rolled its eyes, and told me, “If your hands can’t handle the job, add a little tongue. You’ve always been better at the latter.”

So… I recycled some coffee filters, hemp, beads, made some glue, grabbed a few pens, and ta-da!
I hope Diandra, Gina, Penny, Polly, and Hex like my crafty hand jobs with a little tongue. And, if you count closely, you’ll find an extra one. It’s for Cameron. Because she makes me want to paint myself pretty. And because the mini book I made for her got lost in the mail ;-(

Hm… I hope Oma Linda doesn’t get too mad at me. These witchy women were supposed to get their handmade bits before 2013. I… um… might be putting them in the mail today, so… well, you know…

One more thing, I’m not good at hand jobs yet. But I will practice, practice, practice… and give it a little tongue, too. I have the feeling that the combination will render satisfaction… eventually ;-)

    1. I'm glad, too. I was stressing out a bit. Things get a bit tricky when you want to craft something and you can't paint, knit, stitch, crochet... well, you get the point ;-)

    1. Um... the bit about me almost not making the deadline comes to mind. It's good to know that you aren't, for if you were I would have to pout--and my lower lip is huge!

Your card should get there by June or July, ask Petoskystone, she'll tell you all about it ;-)

  16. Ooh, I'm brimming with anticipation! Don't feel bad about "being late"...I, um, am having the same difficulties with my own "Handmade from the Heart" promises from early this year...especially after the divorce and move and all...OH, I should probably give you my new address. I will send it via email. If anyone here is on "my list", rest assured you have not been forgotten ;)

    Hugs my dear Magaly :D

    1. Aren't words glorious? So malleable and willing to do good things--bad, too, sometimes--but they are so much more awesome when what comes out of them is good and spicy.

P.S. Are those 'xxx' hugs or xxx rated lol
