Honey Horror

“Yep, the ‘Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble’ has finally over-boiled the Wicked Witch Writer’s mind.” I figured some of you were wondering about the state of my brain housing group, so I took the liberty to voice my interpretation of your thoughts. But I assure you, my Wicked Luvs, I’m quite sane. The following photos, by a photographer I shall introduce you to in the future, will make you shake in your witchy boots:
“First Honey”
He never wanted to butcher everyone. In fact, Ram-Honey’s KA-Bar was so huge that he never thought it  would be possible to wrap his sticky hands around it and stick it to the enemy. But he did; sweetly, violently and bloody.
“Ethnic Cleansing”
Honey mixes well with peanut butter, but not this one… I saw the red glare of rage in his eyes, but I wanted to believe that it was just a reflection from the peanut butter cap. How wrong I was. It was glee. Pure horrific pleasure at the sight of a butter knife with which he knew he could disembowel his thick and creamy enemy. Syrupy hate.
“Bear Clan Meeting”
This is the Honey that robbed me of my faith in natural sugariness. When I was told about ‘the meeting,’ I thought it was a joke. Until I stared into those black, peanut butter-hatred-filled eyes. I won’t lie, my Wicked Luvs, this one had tears rolling down my cheeks. Violence and hate I could almost understand, but sweet racism? Never!
“Trick-or-Treat”
I won’t leave you with the bitter taste of honey gone bad in your mouth. There is a lot of ugly in the world of yummy spreads and sweeteners, but for every rotten jar, there is a brave treat willing to brighten your day. This sweet and sticky pair mixes so awesomely well that they even play dress up to bring pleasure to their relationship.
And it might be shocking to know that peanut butter and honey are not the sweetest ingredients of this photo feast. The reason behind the pictures is what turned my heart into sun-warmed caramel: they were created by a brother who wanted to put a smile on his big sister’s face. I be she is still smiling, but I can’t be sure. I haven’t seen her in a while. I would bet grinning like a loon though.

Hey, some smile when given a bouquet of freshly murdered flowers; others grin at the sight of kick-ass honey. The whole thing makes me think of the spirit of All Hallow’s Eve: some enjoy it because they love everything dark, freaky, and gory; Witches celebrate the day because it brings to mind loved ones who are now gone, who left our hearts filled with their dreams, their likes, their tastes, their glory…

Gods! how I LOVE this time of the year ;-)

  1. There's something wonderfully lovely about an entire season devoted to the twisted streak that runs through all human beings, no matter how deep an individual may try to bury it. This is a delightfully, horrifically bittersweet tale that I hope gains status of family heirloom for this brother and sister :)

    1. Autumn permeates through the skin and makes us want to do mysterious things, doesn't it? Some said that it is the change of the season, but I grew up in the Dominican Republic where there is only sunny summer and rainy summer all year long. Yet, around October... magic happens ;-)

    1. Life (and blogging as it seems) is a bit more interesting when we stretch the boundaries. I think that's what I love about writing and art in general; there is nothing we can't do when we put our mind to work ;-)

    1. Well, I didn't take the pictures, so you are now in love with a complete stranger lol

Don't worry though, he is very nice and has a sense of humor as ginormous as his imagination.

    2. Oh well lets not let my hubby know. He's cool if
I love another woman. But turns into a green eyed monster at the mention of love and another man. lol

    3. Ha! I have a feeling that his lady and your hubby will agree on this one, so let's not tell them ;-)

  6. I just purchased one of those clover honey bears, now thinking... Should I be afraid? So cute, yet psychotic in a sweet disguise! Woe me and my poor judgments! ;-)

  7. You know you're a Honey Addict when...even Magaly's pictures of Klan Honey Bear can't sever your bond with the sticky sweet stuff. *Sigh* My name is Sarah, and I'm a Honey Addict. I have a 15 - 20 lb per year habit, and I don't want help. I want MORE HONEY. This post makes me glad that I buy my honey in bulk instead of in those cute little honey bear jars. I wouldn't sleep a wink if they were around.

    1. I spent a whole summer reading the Sweet Dreams series and eating nothing but toast and honey for breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I didn't have to maintain a very specific weight to make sure that my hip doesn't start bitching, I would repeat that 1995 summer again ;-)

Honey addicts are sweet and hot!

I love this time of year too, today was an awesome day, dark looming clouds, and the best part was the wind howling outside, and the leaves flying off the trees...
    enjoy every moment!

    1. Peanut butter and honey is DELICIOUS! I like it on toast, sooo yummy. But I have to go slow with it. I'm a total bread addict. It only takes a bite, and there I am eating a loaf or two *sigh*

Maybe I should take a break from my bread fast for fall *grins wickedly*

  18. I loved this! When I saw the first picture, I was intimidated by the Rambo-honey bear with his red bandana tied across his bottle cap and a really huge weapon at his disposal. He looks like he means business!

Then there was the peanut butter massacre. Hate crimes are terrible! Those peanut butters never hurt anyone.

And the Nazi-honey bear using sticky sweetness to lure weak minded folks into his devilish plans!

And the Halloween costumes were so cute! See? We really can get along!

Very nice! I laughed. Still have a smile on my face.

  21. Bitter and sweetly spun. I've been banned from honey butpeanut butter is another thing entirely, Great fun - your first shot reminded me of a dog that that had raided the larder and made off with the peanut butter jar. How he got the top of we'll never know.

BTW 'sweet racism' OMG, Hilarious :) Just as a side note I gave Milo & the visiting dog next door peanut butter on crackers literally moments ago... ohh October is birthday month for me too, gotta love it ;)
