Black Words and Red Stone

He comes under Nyx’s veil;
skin glistening,
soft of lips and gasping.
Body wanting,
he comes for her.

Moon bathed,
ready of flesh and spirit;
with offerings
of Black words and Red stone,
she waits…

for the Sex Faery.

The way this red tiger’s eye reflects the words from the dictionary made me think of secrets hidden in old myths and tales. Why? I have no idea. But I like it. Thank you for the stone, Stacy!

  6. I love textured stones. There's something otherworldly about holding them in your hand. It's a sensory experience, for sure, and one the mind doesn't soon forget.

    1. They are, aren't they? I usually touch them and turn them in my fingers, wondering about every line, every color and why a particular shade settled the way it did. And not just in the geological sense, but a bit deeper...
