Cyber Chaos and Sassy Daisies
Most of the members of the group If-I-Ever-Danced-Naked-Under-the-Dark-Moon-You-Would-Probably-Be-in-My-Witchy-Circle (see links) are aware that Gina, Stacy and I have been having web issues. A few months
ago—or was it last year?—I stopped getting updates from most of the blogs I followed.
Soon after, comment notifications also ceased. I solved the first problem by bookmarking, and the second by using the Way2Blooging comment system.

Stacy seems to be suffering the beginnings of the same cyber-malice; as of a couple of days ago, she couldn’t
get updates from our adored Oma Linda. Gina began to receive messages, which
said that her blog contained adult content—her blog didn’t. She tried to fight the silliness for a bit… it didn’t work. So my Daydream Believer embraced a well-known ancient philosophy,
and told the glitch to “Kiss [her] Big Flowery Butt.”
Other than the issues I’ve already
mentioned, I haven’t had any more Blogger problems. At least, that’s what I thought…
it seems that Pagan Culture is doing okay, but many of my blind readers, and
other Wicked Darlings, are not getting updates from my writing site. I update my fiction site weekly, so I thought
that was what everybody meant. I was wrong; some people haven’t gotten anything since
AlmaMia’s tour, two weeks ago.
After troubleshooting the guts out of
my writing site and finding no obvious solution, I’ve decided to bring my
fiction back to Pagan Culture—why does this sounds sooo familiar? Anyhoo,
I will treat www.magalyguerrero.com as a website. It will house my ebooks, webserials,
featured articles, selected essays, fiction news…
So… don’t panic if you received a bunch
of Pagan Culture updates all at once. It’s just moi importing things from my
writing site. During the consolidation process, my linkbar will change a bit, too,
but the wicked goodness will remain untouched.
If this post
was technical enough to make you want to hurl,
just look at
Gina’s sassy daisies and I guarantee you at least one giggle.
If you are anything like me, you’ll probably point and cackle.

I've never had a problem reading either site. I use Google reader for my blog notifications. And for Pagan Culture at least a lot of times I'll click here while reading FB late at night through the networked blogs link.
ReplyDeleteYou lucky, lucky, lucky Witch ;-)
DeleteCackling a lot here. I'm sorry you're having blog issues, wouldn't it be great if things just worked they way their supposed to? My computer has been infected with a virus twice during the past three weeks, so that picture and philosophy pretty much sums up the way I feel right about now!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Victoria
Damn viruses, I tell you. We need to get a can of virtual bug spray and smite them all!
DeleteI see I'm not the only one having that problem... I've noticed that your writing site doesn't show up for me either and Blogger has been eating some of my posts. After I hit publish, they just disappear... I figured I'd give Blogger a few days to fix their shit, since they're probably aware of whatever issue is going on... Hope everything gets better darling!
ReplyDeleteI gave them time, too. Nothing happened, so now I'm just ignoring their silliness and doing some else lol
DeleteArgh, I hate to hear about people having blogger issues!! I have noticed this with random blogs throughout the week: click on their new post, and blogger tells you that page doesn't exist. This has happened every day with one or two blogs. I am quite open about the fact that I do not have techno-expertise to trouble-shoot. Goddess help me if I start having problems. Thanks to you, Magaly and others, I know you will keep us up-to-date on issues. I may run to you screaming and pulling hair out soon! Good luck with your consolidation!
ReplyDeleteI just saw a pretty robin trying to pull her feathers out and flying around. You made me cackle. You can run here whenever you like ;-)
DeleteWhat a pain in the butt :D Sorry you are struggling with these issues, your busy enough writing without this :S I found that since I added the content warning myself, I haven't had the problems with FB...maybe FB has a higher morality status than we give it credit for.....NOT hahahaha....:D XXX
ReplyDeleteWe all know about Facebook moral degrees of un-nastiness, we wouldn't want to offend them... ha!
DeleteGreat you haven't had any more problems ;-)
Love the Big Flowery Butt!
ReplyDeleteMe three ;-)
DeleteOh my!! What a pain for you all!! Hope this solves the problem. It is quite upsetting that the people of blogger couldn't help you guys out!! Sheesh!
ReplyDeleteHugs
SueAnn
Me too, but I've been waiting for a while, so I'm just letting it be.
DeleteThe only issue I've had with the new blogger is that I still can't figure out the stupid key combination it wants Jaws to use to access the "add image" button, so I still need to have help with it. I liked the old version better though; I'm fine with change, but the "improvements" (and I use the term so loosely it's bearly held together) have actually made things more complicated for me. I can work everything other than that stupid image button, but it takes so much longer than it used to!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, sorry you're having issues. Makes me glad I combined my blogs a while back. Well, other than my recipe one, but that one doesn't count because it's more of an online recipe storage space.
I'm not crazy about the "improvements," but at least those work the way they want them to.
DeleteOh well, as long as we can find ways to work around the silliness, then I guess we can deal, right?
I do believe you were infested with Blogargoyles! They are viral little beasties who love to torment, tease, and taunt bloggers in their most mischievous ways! They hide away in the darkest caverns of one's computer just biding their time til they can once again pop up and wreak their chaotic havoc. Bloggers need to be constantly vigilant for their subtle subterfuge attacks.....
ReplyDeleteHm, I wonder if they would make good cyber-familiars lol
DeleteBring it on... all in one spot? I'll have no excuses not to read everything ;)
ReplyDeleteAlways seeing the positive side of the situation. That's why I adore you ;-)
DeleteOMG just clicked on Gina's big flowery butt!!!!!!!!!!! HAAAAAAAAAAAAA - too cool, LOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeleteHilarious, isn't it?
DeleteI love Gina's big flowery butt!! I am cackling! LOL! Guess what, Oma Linda's blog came back to me?? I don't know what is happening! As long as I can keep up with everyone, I am happy. Have fun consolidating everything ;o) Hugs ;o)
ReplyDeleteYay for you! I'm still having issues, but I'm just letting it be.
DeleteRight! :)
ReplyDelete;-)
DeleteI haven't been on my blog in AGES. Must post now...
ReplyDeleteAnd I shall read ;-)
DeleteLMAO! I LOVE and may begin to worship Gina's daisy decor butt! That is hilarious. And what an honor to be in your "If-I-Ever-Danced-Naked-Under-the-Dark-Moon-You-Would-Probably-Be-in-My-Witchy-Circle" You got that right, sista!
ReplyDeleteOh, the technical difficulties are abound. I had not gotten updates to Oma Linda's blogs in a month now but today I did get updates on Olde Baggs but Ye Old Crone remains keeping me in the dark. Amy's blog has not shown an update in my dashboard in 2 years (really) and now the gremlins dare to mess with your writing blog??? Dastardly shits, I say! Just know wherever you are forced to take your stories I will be there following them, maybe a little late, but there nonetheless. I'm thinking we should all get daisy tattoos on our butts. ;-) That will show them!
Um, I might have already started the prestigious Daisy on the Hiney Dancing Circle lol
DeleteBut Gina is the Witch Queen ;-)
Once again I am playing catch up. I ended up subscribing via email so now I will get all your updates prompto. I'm hoping this will help, as I don't always get a chance to read all my fave blogs via my blogger account. Even my own blogging has been pushed aside. I'm lucky too be able to pop in long enough to post my daily cards. Sheesh! I'm sorry to hear you are still having cyber issues :(
ReplyDeleteLife enjoys running in front of us, doesn't she? Oh well, we can't always make her happy and run crazy; every now and then we need to explore a particular moment and then move forward.
DeleteThe internet issues used to drive me insane, nowadays, I just roll (or should that be write?) with the punches.
On my way to check out what's new at your cyber cottage!
lucky for me...i haven't had any blogger problems lately...but i have heard that others have problems with comments and stuff.
ReplyDeletesometimes i wonder if google just got TOO damn BIG.
anyway...love your kissmybigflowerybutt! :)
I wonder the same thing. Let's hope they don't get too big to function. That would be a shame ;-(
DeleteGina's Flowery Butt is quite awesome ;-)
