It’s Not Cool to Break the Circle

Many of you already know about Magaly’s Blog Circle. If you don’t, please click on this link and take a look-see. It is my blog roll on steroids. I created the circle in order to keep better track of your cyber ventures, but it doesn’t always work the way I want it to.

You see, I used to practice the Return Comment Love System (You comment on my blog, I click the link to your profile, I comment on your blog. Simple. Loved it. Doesn’t work with Disqus because many of you forget to link your sites to your name when you leave a comment). My system hasn’t changed much thought; if you leave a remark, there is a 99.13% chance that I’ll stop by your cyber home to see what’s brewing.

This works with Wicked Darlings who bless me with their witty remarks often, for I tend to memorize the names of their blogs. But if you come here only every once in a while, and don’t leave me a link *baddie, baddie, baddie luv* I might never find you. We need to work together, if we are to have a complete circle. Keeping that in mind, I’ve summoned the controlling Aries within and created a tutorial. I hope this illustrates *gods, I sound like a Marine instructor, for some reason the word 'illustrate' comes up a lot during the Marine Corps instruction* Anyhoo (so what if 'anyhoo' is not a word?), I hope this illustrates why it is so important for you to link your name when you leave me a comment:

This is what you see (I hope) when you are ready to post a new comment:

You type your thoughts, click on the “Post as…” box, and this pops up:
Many of you write your emails and your names, click on “Post comment,” and leave on your merry way. Well, baddie, baddie, baddie luvs! Don’t be baddies, wicked luvs; be darlings. Click on “Link to your website.” Type or copy and paste the link to your blog or site *make my witchy life easier* and then click on “Post comment.”

If you follow those three simple steps, I’ll be able to click on your name and jump to your latest post. I’m always interested in seeing what you are brewing, and I get very sad when I can’t get there easily. I get straight up depressed when I can’t get to you at all. You don’t like to make me sad or depressed, do you? *yes, this is my shameless attempt at making you feel guilty... hope you have some Catholic in you... tee hee*

Look at this face, how disheartening is that?
Oh, take a look at my awesome shoes too!
Aren’t they absolutely fantabulous?
Thanks Oma Linda!

As you can see, my attention span is limited. I can’t even pretend to be depressed for extended periods of time. If I don’t click on your name right after you comment, I might forget to do it. Help me stay focused, m’luvs. If you still don’t link your sites to your comments, I’ll try to find you in my circle. But if I don’t know the name of your blog, well, you know… lots of ifs.

I should probably leave this post up for a few days, huh? Yay, awesome shoes!

And while we are in subject of awesome...

  1. This made me think of a few things.
"Focker, you're in the circle of trust now. Can you handle that? Don't break the circle Focker."
I'm nervous because I posted something so I am, for the moment, top on the screen at your bloggers circle and I recall one time a person got really mad because they thought this was the case because I was gay or something.
That picture made me laugh out loud because I didn't even read the words on it and went straight to "OMG how cute are her shoes?"
    YAY SHOES!

This is a very good instructional. Yay for the Corps, yes????? SM uses illustrations to let us know how we must alot and I just thought it was his stunning personality...how was I to know that he learned it at PI, NC? The older he gets the more jar head he becomes, tee hee.siempre fi

  13. Could I love those fabulous shoes anymore, I think not.

Don't make that sad face though, it's so unbecoming of you.

  14. Great shoes for sure. And kudos to you to visit everyone who leaves a comment for you. I try to do the same, but, sometimes, I am simply overwhelmed. I still have so many emails to answer -- I fell behind everything a couple of months ago and now it's hard to get up to date again. But I guess nearly everyone feels that way once in a while...

    Hugs,
    Birgit

  15. I love reading your blog, you always cheer me up, especially when you are taking the wind out of a deserving souls sails.  I am always glad to see your remarks in my posts.  I've had a hard time lately and you've been there for me.  Thanks Mags, I wish you love.

  16. Ah, I'm a newer reader and was wondering how Disqus worked. That answers my questions (and I do love the shoes).

  17. And I thought I had a short attention span these days, LOL!
    Congrats to Georginamorley! :)

  18. Ha, I love the Fockers" aren't they hilarious?
Don't make me think about that nutcase. He actually emailed me the other day about guest posting. Go figure. And it is too funny about the shoes! But they deserve it, they were purrrfect for the occasion!

  19. I knew 'anyhoo' was a word lol

  20. The damn thing is tiny, you think they would make the letters red or something.

  21. We are thinking about getting a new house for my shoes lol
I don't buy that many. I just never get rid of them. And I love boots and they take so much space *sigh*

  22. And I love your visits too ;-)

  23. I know your life has been busy lately, but you are always here in spirit ;-)

  24. My dear Zombie Goddess, your wit feeds my sarcasm all the time. And my sarcasm is really fat.

  25. I still go to the head, hit the rack, PT, brush my fangs and shit, shower and shave... it's a beautiful curse, our jarhead jargon, isn't it? Until we annoy someone how has no damn idea what we are talking about lol

  26. You have no idea how hard of a time I have trying not to smile. Taking pictures for passports and official documents is a nightmare of suppressed smile attempts.

  27. I try. Sometimes I can't right away. But if I have a  link. I go back and visit people, even if it's a few days later.

  28. I was thinking about you today! A friend emailed me to say she got this great job working at a reservation in Canada. She will be doing park tours (retelling the stories of burial sites to be exact. I'm so jealous). I thought about you because she had been looking for a place to live for the longest of times. Then she stumbled into a new cottage and a job, at the same time. Fate works just fine, doesn't she? Now I'm going to your blog to see how things are going.

  29. My dear Lady Rose, I've been cleaning up for months. I am almost done, but I started in May, I think. I was supposed to be done by Oct 31st. That didn't work, so I'm giving myself an end of the calendar year deadline. Let's see how that goes!

  30. My professors can probably write encyclopedias about my short attention span lol.

  31. I think when I comment, I am doing it write? I will see, after I leave this comment. Oh, I do love the shoes ;o)  Congrats to the lucky winner ;o)

  32. I was doing my comments wrong! Sorry! Won't happen again ;o) Hugs ;o)

  33. Yay for linking and shoes!

  34. Love the shoes! And you're still lovely, even with the sad face. I know I've been terrible with keeping up with all the blogs I follow but I'm hoping to get back in the swing of it all soon. Even if I'm not commenting, I'm still reading.

P.S. I use illustrations on Hubby too and it annoys the crap out of him. He hates when I go Drill Sargent on him.. bwahahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ok, I'm going to give this a shot.  I think I have Facebook connected.  You don't have to be catholic to bed to a guilt trip.  I grew up attending a Baptist church all by my lonesome and I still get roped in.

Here's what I learned today, I'm #2 commenter behind you.  How on earth did that happen?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I, too, sometimes read and not comment. Sometimes, I don't know what to say. I know, hard to believe, considering that I'm always talking lol.

P.S. You better hope your Devil Dog doesn't read this, or he'll pissed as hell because you "go Drill Sargent on him" instead of Drill Instructor!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hooray on connecting your blog. I hear you about the guilt bit lol.

Yep, you are the Queen Commentator according to Disqus ;-)

  38. That face looks like you're up to something! That ain't disheartening, that's ... nervousness making! :)

I found out that my google reader was all messed up and not showing me your blog entries in the right place (blah, I hate how bad it is at syncing with blogger dashboard), so now should be commenting more because I'm not days behind! But do not feel obligated to comment back. That sounds like much work.

I want to thank you for the 'healing energies' sent my way - I was telling Tori I feel 'renewed' and better than I have in many months... most particularly the dark cloud of depression has lifted - and I'm most grateful for all the thoughts, prayers, and energies sent my way. Thank you muchly.  :)

  42. You are too sweet ;-) I'm on my way to see what you are up to.

    ReplyDelete
  43. That is such a lovely thing to hear, Intense Guy. I'm happy you are feeling better, you had us worried for a bit. Tori kept things going and I'm sure many others send energy your way, too. It is amazing what we can do when we gang up together against the ugly bits of life, isn't it? You continue feeling better. Many healing hugs to you!

  44. I know exactly like you mean. I comment every few days on my bloggy friends homes and there are times when there is need to go back a bit, but most of the time I just move forward. There is too much goodness to read out there. Glad you are on to your Google Reader. I shall see what you are doing, too. I was reading one of Ilona Andrews shorts and you came to mind ;-)

And about the look on my face, well, I won't say anything; just chuckle. Muahahahahaha!

  46. Thanks so much, Judy. For making All Hallow's Grim fun (enjoy your goodies!) and for the birthday wishes. I'm excited about the Marine Corps Birthday on a full moon, how cool is that? A few of my friends will be celebrating with the pound cake in their MRE's and I'll be dancing for them. Tomorrow night will be big for me. I have a lot of brewing and spelling and celebrating to do. And at the same time, a few camouflaged witches will be dancing in a faraway desert too. Live happens everywhere...

  47. Good luck seeing the camouflaged witches  (cause they are camouflaged, get it?) teehee...
