Not the Yellow-Eyed Skull!

The Little Princess and I have been doing some baking and a little pre-All Hallow’s Eve crafting. We were supposed to make Dulce de Leche Brownies, but we began to have fun and forgot some of the ingredients *sigh*

I’m blaming our forgetfulness on the Little Princess’s cuteness. There I was being extra serious, trying to explain to her why we must put eggs in the mix. What does she do? Grabs two eggs, puts them in front of her eyes, and says, “Look, I have tiny pink ribbons on my eggy eyes.”
After I cracked the eggs, she starts screeching: “Not the yellow-eyed skull!”
I say, “Once we mix and bake everything we’ll get yummy brownies.”

She likes this very much and begins to purr… at the bowl. Yes, she purrs.
She helps with the mixing
And cleaning the utensils…
And cleaning the bowl…
She cleans the bowl for 28 minutes…
Then she is deliriously happy at the thought of a ginormous piece of brownie and some lemonade.
Oh, and before that, we did a bit of All Hollow’s Eve crafting. I made a black and pink cat hat for Halloween for the Little Princess; she picked the colors. And she made a hat for Munchkin, her stuffed poodle.
It was a super fun day. We both wished my Piano Man was home to share the experience, but he was working. He got to taste the product of our fun after he got home.

  1. She actually purrs? Are you sure she's not a kitty?

And look at those big big eyes when she's got the lemonade and brownies before her. She's so cute! :)

  7. Mm, I can't wait to read your pumpkin fluff recipe. I'm thinking about borrowing Diandra's pumpkin chilly and some fluff would make for a gloriously delicious pumpkin day.

Now, don't forget to add the link to your site the next time you comment, that way I can follow you back to your cyberhome!

  17. She is indeed, and I totally get the pilfering kids feeling. Like, I said on the post for the contest, I knew I had no chance with the necklace with the cute orange cat, so I didn't even try to pretend.

  24. You know, you just reminded me why I love having a blog. Ten years from now, we can look at this post and see what we used to do when she thought baking was the coolest thing. Hopefully, she'll still love baking then... I can't wait to read our memories ;-)
