Goddess Nude

She took so much care
outlining my curves, my face,
the crook of my left elbow, my lips.
She loved my form with every stroke
soft and wet.

All fingers and paint—
rough brush touched no surface.
I am lines of sunshine made colors, shades;
birthed from her mind onto canvas.

She created me soft, strong, sexy;
caressed life into my browns and tans;
daubed a bit of pink over my breasts
blue on my aura to balance my moods.

My Creatrix
admires flesh relaxing confidently around bone.
She paints me shouting,
“I am luscious, natural, precious, nude goddess...
I am woman.”

  18. The power of a woman is unsurpassed

  19. This reminds me, in some ways, of the thoughts expressed in Maya Angelou's "Phenomenal Woman" poem! I really love the power of your last three lines!

    I am woman.”

    Will not argue on that. A nudie painting is real art. Art in the flesh is not hiding anything but is a great subject. Great write Magaly!

  22. How much better it must be to be painted than to see yourself in a mirror.. it certainly would boost self-confidence.. and the painting is just lovely..
