Custom Spell Kit from Readings by Kat

I love it when things work themselves out…

This post was scheduled to be published last week, but something happened and I changed my mind. Then I figured it would make a good Summer Solstice present, and again, I changed my mind—for no obvious reason. It just didn’t feel right.

Yesterday, a spell I had been charging (for 3 Dark Moons!) was disturbed (the person needed the spell for this weekend). I was terrified and really sorry about the whole thing. I called my Piano Man, and as always, he helped appease my thoughts. I called the client next. I needed to let her know the spell wasn’t ready, but that I would craft a new spell, and even do something extra to make it up to her.

*Ring*

“My Goddess, Magaly, I’ve being calling you all day!”

Um, Earth? If you ever wanted to swallow me whole, now would be the perfect time. I thought, but aloud I said, “Oh dear, I need to—”

“Guess what?” My client interrupted. “My hubby got orders! He’ll be home sometime in October. I want to wait to do my little Angel’s Wiccaning at the same time his daddy and I get handfasted. Is it too late to add a few things to the spell work? And… would you help us write our vows?”

I was quiet for a while.

“I understand if you are busy. I just thought... I mean, it’s okay if you can’t.”

“Oh no, that’s not it.” I had actually been wondering how dishonest I would be, if I just omitted the recent happenings. “I would love to! You’ve made my day. The truth is that I had a few problems charging the spell; this is a miracle!”

So, my Wicked Darlings, I’ll be attending a Wicanning handfasting combo sometime in October or November.

How does this relate to today’s post? Well, my disaster turned miracle is the perfect introduction for this sweet magical giveaway. The winner will receive a prize that is very similar to the kind of magical work I was doing for my client.

Kat will “write and craft a spell kit custom to your needs. Tell her what you need the spell to accomplish and you will receive the following:

- One 4” Ritual Spell Candle charged with power and intention
- Custom hand blended herbal spell mix (2+tsp)
- Full page-parchment spell instructions
- Bonus: mini-spell bottle kit, including instructions and gemstone chips

This kit contains everything you need to cast with confidence.
Your spell will arrive beautifully packaged, ready to cast or gift.”

Visit Readings by Kat for more details on the prize and the witchy woman behind the spells.

  7. My fave items in Kat's store is the Faerie Blowing powder and the Faerie mini-wish bottle - so I had to buy them immediately! ; ) Any of her readings are awesome - she has read me in the past and knew very little about me and she was spot on! I was pretty blown away - I have been read many times by others, but she is exceptional. I also "followed" and "liked" on google and FB.

  21. Ooh, how did I miss this? "How do I react when something I've worked on for a long time goes terribly wrong in a minute?"

I had to think of several possible examples (and actual things from the past gone wrong). My conclusion is:

    1. I beat myself up over it for a brief time, feeling I failed.
    2. I try and see a positive side to the outcome while thinking it went wrong for something better to come later.
    3. I move on or start the project over.

Dear gods my wish list would be endless.

  23. Autumn - You are right, I just went and checked the year ahead reading and its lovely!

AlphaBetsy - She knows how to promote her work, doesn't she?

    Sarah - It seems that's a fave!

Ravyne - I find Kat extremely inspiring too. I've never been extremely interested in any kind of divination (don't know why), but ever since she found me I've been aching for my own Tarot deck; I just got one!

Sosanna - I think the current state of our economy makes the prosperity kit a REAL blessing!

Green Witch - Your coping process sounds a whole lot like mine lol. I better stop by your blog to see what you've been up to; you've been missed while you get your witchy home together ;-)

Cogent - I had never announced my work. Most of my clients were recommended by people who I had done jobs for. I've gotten enough requests, after I published this post, that I'm considering some kind of online service. I should probably have something ready some time in August. I'm super excited!

  24. Everyone, thanks so much for all your kind words! I love the mini-bottle kits, I pushed myself to get them up just for this giveaway!

Ravyne, MWAH! You're such a boon the the Baltimore Pagan Community!

Magaly, which deck?! And I think you'll find offering spell services online is very fulfilling. With the exceptions of the love/money basics, all my current inventory is based on custom requests.

The year-ahead reading or the zodiac reading gets pretty intense, but I enjoy completing them.

  25. I got the Witchy Tarot Deck. I figured it would be something fun and, um, witchy to start with.

  26. The bigger the disaster, the more calmly I react. I am currently fighting tooth and nail to keep something I worked on for years from falling apart in front of my eyes. But if something I've spent 20 minutes writing doesn't save properly, I'm likely to flop down dramatically in a stream of obsenity!

  27. It's hard to pick just one thing from Kat's store, but I'm a sucker for Tarot readings (I really need to get my own deck).

    I'd say maybe the 10 card cross spread . . . Maybe . . .
