Witchy Enough Campaign

I was going to wait a few days before posting the first Witches in Fiction update, but Penny asked “How do we know if we are witchy enough?” At first, I chuckled at the question, for I thought it was a joke—you never know with zombies. Then I remembered how many “Am I Pagan Enough?” emails I received at the beginning of Pagan Fiction in 113 Words or Less, and realized that The Texan Zombie Goddess was probably serious.

If you have ever asked yourself “Am I witchy enough?” chances are you are.
Here are some traits I believe make you witchy enough:
- You believe in the power of words and intentions.
- You hear the voices of Nature.
- You welcome a bit of magic into your life.
- You believe that everyone has the right to belief.
- You are surrounded by awesome witchy friends.
- You are not a Witch, but you LOVE everything witchy.
- You know Granny Weatherwax and Elphaba are wicked cool.
- You are witchy enough, my Wicked Darlings, if you believe you are.
* If ‘the voices of Nature’ are telling you to moon, scream at, or impale strangers in the middle of the street, you might want to talk to someone about it. I’m just saying…

You know what? I’m writing this post while riding the Staten Island ferry. I just looked out the window and was greeted by the smiling sun and the green stare of Lady Liberty. They inspired me to do something spontaneous (which, by the way, is extremely witchy). I’m starting a Witchy Enough Campaign.

If any (or all) of the above describes your witchy self, grab the button from my sidebar, and post it on yours. Then leave a message on this post saying “I am Witchy Enough!” Include a link to your blog, so that others can visit you if they like. Be witchy... Be you... Be, my Wicked Luvs ;-)

*Oh, and because plagiarists—and all other intellectual thieves—are the scum of the universe, I’ll say that this campaign follows on the steps of the Pagan Enough Project.*

  8. On a side note, our minister of military affairs had to step down last week after it was found out he had plagiarized huge parts of his doctor's thesis (like, several pages of quotations, in different chapters).

I'll grab that button of yours if I ever figure out how that works, but I'm busybusybusy right now and want to put my head on the keyboard and sleeeeeeepz....

  13. Diandra - I don't know how creepy this sounds, but I was actually thinking of his dishonest behind when I wrote this. They were talking about it on National Public Radio a few days ago, and I want to say that I couldn't believe it, but then again... Get some rest darling. Sarita should give you a button tutorial soon lol (I just made this up). She was the one to schooled me.

TheBlakkDuchess - Coffee, especially French vanilla coffee, is the dark brew of this dark goddess lol. Happy International Day of us too ;-)

LJ - you just made me roar. See Chester, told you she is engaging and funny and all that.

  14. I guess I might actually have to create "Chester the cat", now. I don't actually have a cat, and would die if I owned one. Chester was sort of a line from a story, providing me with an excuse for being a sucky writer. I may have to create him. :D

  15. Penny - You'll never sound like a bubblehead to me. Never, ever, ever, ever.

LJ - I name the voices in my head too. Then I put them in stories and they commit dark, sexy, bloody acts. And some dumb acts too, but we don't like talking about those moments ;-)

  16. Is that you on the broom?
I deff hear voices telling me to USE nature to end the plague of stupidity washing over this land but the medication helps with that.
Grabbing the button even though I'm a lazy incoherent self practitioner but mostly because I LOVE GRANNY WEATHERWAX!!!!

  17. Count me in for Witchy Enough, Magaly!!

  18. Cogent - That is another super hot woman on the broom, but to our shapes seem very similar--I bet the poor thing has a hell of a time buying jeans. I have the picture on my wall, and the question has been asked often ;-) Granny is a freaking star!

Lyn, I think your blog name is a dead giveaway ;-)

  24. Oh, I just had a dream about this very topic last night. Someone asked me in my dream, "are you a witch or are you a pagan?" And I had to tell them that I was a "pagan witch". Here's the Goddess at work again, finding your rockin' campaign. I'm going to put up your button proudly on my blog. Thanks for helping us unite and celebrate all the degrees of being witchy ; )
