Team Etsy vs. Team Amazon

Witches in Fiction – Update #3
The Etsy or Amazon Gift Certificates Poll – As of right now, Team Etsy is ahead of Team Amazon by 2 points. What? You haven’t joined a team yet? Really! But the poll has been up on the sidebar for days, and… Well, all isn’t lost. You have one more day to help me decide where to get the three $20.13 gift certificates, I’ll give away during Witches in Fiction. The poll closes tomorrow, March 15th at 11:59pm.

  1. Great idea! The only problem is that I love a coven of witches in fiction, so I will have to write about all of them.

  2. You better start putting pen to paper (or fingertips to keyboard) then. Because I would love to read about your fictional witchy coven!

  5. Penny - You are quite the witchocrate.

Judy - Really? I think is more about being saved by my Kindle's text-to-speech feature, which allows me to play with photo shop as I ingest my scholarly reading ;-) Hm, guess that's a bit of technology, huh?

  6. This has nothing to do with this post on writing, but your celebration of witches in fiction sent me running to library and I wanted to say thanks! To be honest, I had never heard of any of the characters you had mentioned--sad face. Now I must make up for lost time. Books on tape while baking perhaps? :)

  7. Oh I'm sure you'll love Granny Weatherwax's, um, special personality. Terry Pratchett's witches are awesome. WICKED by Gregory Maguire is a bit different, but I love his version of the Wicked Witch of the West. Elphaba has spunk and fights for what she believes in. There are some parts of the book that are a little long winded, but the rest is a book club's dream!

Let me know how you like them ;-)

  8. I have definitely voted for both a couple times, heh but have settled on Etsy so Etsy FTW.

*giggles* I am not sure if you're being sarcastic or not haha but that's alright. Thank you. haha Your name is so fitting! :D That is awesome you've started on your journalings too! I am having so much fun painting, never thought I would!
I have started on my novel too. It has a name I shall be posting tonight, possibly the first part of Chapter One as well. We shall see :D

  10. I know the feeling. I can't wait for the weather to get a bit warmer, in order to propagate my daisy and transplant my rosemary. I can't get a huge garden in NYC, but I'll have some green babies around and try to make them happy.
