Once upon a Witchy time... Intention, Believe, Nature

I drew this while listening to Rachel Carson's Silent Spring.
That book has always made me feel hopeful, brave...
it has help me believe change is possible.
My intention was to start with a tiny leaf, then it grew.
I know Nature will provide, for I believe it will.

Week 1 – Intention
Week 3 – I Believe
Week 4 – Nature

  2. I love this! I'm really thinking about doing the whole art journaling thing, although I have my misgivings about my artistic ability like you do. I think I would stick with Hodge Podge and clippings. But, your post has definitely inspired me to get my butt in gear with it. It seems like such a great way to express yourself.

  3. Lilac - Cracias!

Just a Gal - I had decided not to do it, at least not through drawing, but last night... I don't know; there is something so inspiring about SILENT SPRING.

  5. Very awesome. I'm thinking of jumping on this art journal bandwagon...I know it's a bit late in the game but better late than never right?

  7. YAY! This is fantastic. I know you were really unsure of the art aspect of this, but I'm thrilled to see that you took the leap! Yay for spring and things that bloom and new beginnings.

Thanks for sharing, Magaly. I'm thrilled to have you joining in, be it with painting, drawing, collaging, or writing: it's all art that nurtures the soul in the end, and that's the point of the project.

  13. I think your art journal page is wonderful, really looking forward to seeing your next pages.

I keep thinking of having a go at this art journalling lark, so many of my friends are doing it now and producing lovely work like yours. I have the opposite problem to you though, it's the writting aspect that puts me off. I'm fine with the printed word but hands now refuse to co-operate with handwritting. I can't help but think that typing in an art journal would be cheating LOL

Thanks for sharing your journal, it's very inspiring.

  14. Magic Love Crow - I shall ;-D

Penny - Tiny step at a time, right?

    Crystalrainbow - That's my trying-to-catch-up creativity lol

    Mina - Grinning

Dragonfly - Thanks so much. I think typing an art journal would be just using technology to create art. There are some many sparkly things, nice shapes, colors... in the web, that one might find the way to make something wonderful.

  16. Emi (love your name btw) - I'm almost done with All about Hearts/Love and Realization. The Goddess and Water is taking me a bit longer, but that's because I have REALLY strong feelings attached to it (that's hard to express). I can't believe the fun I'm having with this!
