Pagan Culture Updates

First, I hope you are having a blissful day. Second, I must tell you that the healing energy you sent me was POWERFUL, I’m feeling like a trillion bucks--our economy is so crappy right now that I doubt a million would be enough to describe my state of elation. Third, I jumped out of bed this morning because my dad and little brother were arguing. I was getting ready to mediate, when I heard one of several ideas they are planning to use to torture The Boyfriend when he comes home next month. I’m not supposed to tell you about them, but think Fools Rush In, minus the baby part.

Now to the ‘real’ updates:

1. Touched by Pagan Culture Saturdays! A few of you have told me that you’d like to know in advanced when you are going to be Touched by Pagan Culture. The suggestion makes sense to me, for I’ve noticed that the last two randomly selected bloggers didn’t find out until a day or so after they were showcased. I’ve created a poll (see main sidebar) to let YOU decide how long in advance you’d like to be informed when you are chosen. I’ll leave the poll up until December 13th, then I’ll update the rules after that.

3. Why is it that every Saturday, the same names seem to be considered for a chance to be Touched by Pagan Culture? Because they follow Pagan Culture and they comment often. Click HERE to review the rules.

2. Why don’t you review ebooks? I can’t. I don’t have time. Sorry. I do most of my reading while waiting around, or riding the bus/train. I don’t have an ebook reader, so I have to read ebooks on a computer. It is difficult to take a computer everywhere I go. And you don’t know this, but my eyesight sucks butt! and the light from the computer screen makes it worst. I have to save my visual strength for my writing and to do research. So again, sorry ;(

I have received other questions, but I’m answering these three first because I’ve been emailed over 10 times (combined) about these issues. I promise to start working on a FAQ section to address the rest of the emails. Also, please add any questions, concerns, suggestions to improve Pagan Culture… as a comment on this post. I will include them to the FAQ section.

Thanks a bunch for your input my Wicked Darlings, without YOU Pagan Culture wouldn’t exist--literally!

  1. I think finding out day-of for touched by pagan culture is like a surprise, but I can understand where other's are coming from.
Too far in advance though ruins the surprise, so I think only a day in advance makes sense.
    Just me though, I'm weird:P

  2. I like the idea of knowing that you're going to be featured in advance, but not too far in advance or it's less surprising! One day should be enough. :)

How funny that the guys were arguing over how to torture the boyfriend, sounds like it'll be interesting when he comes home!

  4. Lea, I like the idea of a shorter time too, but things get complicated for those who do not have emails attached to their blogs. Or those who don't check their blogs daily *cough, cough not I that I do* hehehe. Still, I think a day might be good.

    D. Duplicki, I guess we are all agreeing that shorter is better *grin*, a week seems like forever, doesn't it? And I know, but I'm the only girl, so they take any chance they get to make my life miserable for fun.

Slommer, dido on "one day". And yes, they are probably make the poor guy blush until he catches on fire. I already feel sorry for him, but I know I'm going to laugh too ;)

I voted 3 days, but 1 would be just as fine, too.

  6. I would have sent you energy Magaly, but my energy would've given you cramps and a headache.

  7. Hey girl! I like this. And if I do get to be featured on Touched by Pagan Culture Saturdays, I think 3 days notice is great. It will give me enough of a chance to do my happy Snoopy dance, and then calm down before that Saturday. LOL!

  8. I would just love to be featured but I do not know that I am worthy. I just live on a farm.

I gobble comments like chocolate and dream of having hundreds of followers.

I love your blog and have been reading many old posts. Thank you.

  9. Love that you do the Pagan Culture showcases and that Casa Hice was a lucky featured blog. Thank you again for recognizing little old me. It was a thrill and I know your other readers and subscribers feel the same.

    XO

  10. I'm thinking three days, but I'm still making up my mind and haven't voted yet...

Come on, can't you tell us what your family has planned for your boyfriend? Please? We won't tell!

  12. Emma, thanks for letting me know that I have some room to play with when you get touched ;)

Asshole Boyfriend, I'm glad you didn't send me any cramps, the ones I get are enough for both of us lol.

Aine Dark, welcome to Pagan Culture. Are you part of the Eclectic Circle yet? You should join the fun, if you haven't, that way we can do the Snoopy dance together when you get touched ;)

Gail, one of my favorite blogs is about goats, yep a goat farm. My dear lady, I would give a hole lot of things to live in a farm, so it will be so much fun to showcase your virtual home. Oh, I would be super happy to tell everyone about Gypsy ;)

Alix, I had a blast too. I feel great too because a lot of your followers stopped by and now they are Wicked Darlings too, isn't that great?

Sarita, did you flip a coin yet? lol And about my dad, little brother and The Boyfriend, I assure you that it is just a lot of talk and at the end no one will do a thing.

Melissa, I doubt it will be that exciting. But I'll let you know--that's a promise--if anything actually happens.

  13. Knowing in advance is lovely, but not too much in advance! A day or two would still be a nice surprise. And good luck to the Boyfriend, families can always be crazy when you bring a man around.

  15. Tiffany, I think it looks like it's going to be three days, so we'll all be happy. Thanks for the good wishes during The Boyfriend's visit. If things get way out of control I'll tase them until they calm down ;-D

Bridgett, I'm sure you'll have a second chance.

  16. Yes, Ebooks are a fine thing, but I still prefer good old paperbooks, too.

  17. Glad you are feeling better! Hopefully you got some of that Mexico heat I was trying to channel into the blogosphere!

Surrounded by tricksters, are you? Perhaps a hotel getaway with your man might be in order - I'd never let my father and brother near my boyfriend for too long!

  18. Diana, I know. I like ebooks they are so green you know? But the light of the computer kills me. And yes, nothing beats the smell and feel of a traditional book.

Rue, so that's why it was so hot in my room the other day lol. My dad and my brother are harmless, they just talk smack and I'm sure will be all shy if they get the chance to be alone with The Boyfriend. But who knows...

  19. LOL@ your family's plans to torture The Boyfriend. He's just so damned fine Magaly...I'm so glad y'all live up there in the north, so my inner man stealing beast won't be tempted to set sights on him!

    Kidding, kidding...
