Pagan Culture's New Look!

Pagan Culture has new clothes! I was thinking about using some of the money I got from my Wicked Darlings to pay for a professional blog makeover. However, after doing some research, I came to the undeniable conclusion that I’m way too cheap for that. Hey, at least I’m willing to admit it! Have you seen the prices for blog makeovers? If your budget has a weak heart, I advise you to avoid them. My budget almost suffered a stroke just because I was thinking about it.

I will give it to the blog designers—their work is very nice, but with today’s economy the way it is, I just couldn’t justify the expense.

What do you think about Pagan Culture’s homemade—no money involved—new look? Have you spent money on your blog? Are you thinking about it?

  1. I forgot to add why I had to change my old template. I really liked it :( but it wouldn't let me add, remove or shift things around. Plus as much as I loved the background, I hated the fact that it didn't allow color or font editing.

  2. I like re-vamping my blog myself. This way I can put whatever images or design that I want.

  3. I love it. I love the colors and the pic. Very chic and modern, but also very Pagan. Use the money you would have spent on something really cool for yourself.

  4. Filho de Logunede, you are so crafty! I just visited your site and it looks great. I also love all the cool images you always attach to your posts.

Yvonne, Thanks! I spent days--maybe weeks--looking for the perfect pic, so I truly appreciate you noticing. Also, I wanted the "chic and modern, but also very Pagan" look. I like the earthy tones. And yes I will use the money for something more appropriate--like shoes lol

  6. Thanks so much ;) I also believe that it would have been a waste of money. I mean, is not like I'm making any money from the site, you know?

  9. I love the new look. My first thought was that it was a new look to go with a new phase of your life, since you're moving. :)

  10. How oh how did you alter your bloggs appearance? I have been trying for almost two hours to figure this seemingly simple task out but am having no luck what so ever?

  11. "Simple task"! I'm gifted!! lol, you are right it was easy. The work was already done by the magic hands of Dicas Blogger (http://dicasblogger.blogspot.com/2008/09/templates-do-dicas-blogger.html) that offers amazing layouts. The image was adapted from dmb (http://www.dualmonitorbackgrounds.com/). I just had to tweak it here and there and play around with the color. I’m very proud of the results *sniff, sniff* by the time I was done my blog matched my shirt and my curtains lol. Look at the picture in “About Magaly” I swear it wasn’t intentional, but it made laugh so hard. Like my coworker would say “Magaly loves her some fall colors!”
